Elitism
Look at WOGL, they started out wanting the same thing we did: A better Combat Arms.
Now look at WOGL: Disbanded, with a hugely negative reputation due to a couple of things:
G36E, M416, UMP, L96A1 DOMINATING every single one of their game rooms.
DISGUSTINGLY ABUSIVE members violating, and insulting anyone that isn't in WOGL because apparently, everyone outside of their organization is "stupid, cheap, plays unfairly."
Highly opinionated members. When you try to talk to them in a debate, they'll say something like: Females are for trashy players that need an advantage to make up for their lack of skill. And then they'll stick to it no matter how much reasoning you try to give them.
Right now in FFCA: We have a positive community that doesn't try to oppress anyone. Although our haters give us a hard time unfortunately :/
Guys, don't EVER become like WOGL.
Future members will join, undoubtedly, some of us here right now will quit eventually. They will take our place. Do you want snobby brats representing FFCA a year later? Hell no.
How do we prevent this? We need to develop some of what a republican society has: Strict control via setting rules(i.e. the Constitution in America) over the majority of society, and that majority in turn governs and protects the rights of the common citizen. These rules need not be too harsh, but MUST NOT be too lenient either. The contents of these rules will be determined through intellectual debate and pooling of ideas and concepts.
We need judges, as a couple of us here at FFCA have asked for many times, to interpret our "Constitution" which is our FFCA code of conduct and contract subforum to settle debates.
This also means we need to be less hesitant in handing out punishments. We need to be a little more strict in order to succeed now and forever as a movement and organization.
Interesting thing about this? We, like Marco Polo or Gandhi would've taken the positives in our modern society and implement them into one conglomerate. We'd become motivated by socialist ideals, follow a democratic social structure, and govern ourselves with republican guidelines.

I'm never like that. I try to give people what they want, not what I personally want. Sure, I like a treat now or then, but I'm speaking for the population.

Most Bravo Eight people are not Wogl players.
I've met some WOGL players in CA, they don't talk much

Re: Elitism
The problem isn't their rules, but how they act morally as human beings.Glowingice wrote:I'm a WOGL player and I don't care what people use as long as theyre not specs

Re: Elitism
>_<
WOGL players prefer using Vent than talking to pubbies
And I think it's wrong for people to steoreotype wogglers as morally wrong/arrogant etc.
I've never come across any real wogl players who will start a fight by saying "You LAW noob or your mom *****s". They usually go lol, or ROFL or lawl. They like to noobfarm though, so if you continue owning them, they'll leave the room.

Re: Elitism
I'm basing this thread on the bad experiences we've had with people in WOGL, not a stereotype. Their community overall has a negative reputation.

Re: Elitism
I usually get bad experiences with WOGl/CSN wannabe players in Bravo 8 who have never even played a WOGL game in their entire life.
There's a fine line between actual WOGL players and fake WOGL Players but I do understand what you are trying to get at here.

I'm a tea partiest, and I think gays shouldn't be allowed to teach my children, meet them, or have sex. No, I'm not bigoted. Oh, and muslims are all terrorists, and mexicans and blacks are all retards.
/end tea party sarcasm
