Kilo CTF bugs, and powerleveling.

Now Kilo is the poor man's BM server. Razz

For Kilo, Nexon should remove CTF and add Fireteam. That would solve everything.

Or just make it so "Abnormal" gameplay is detected if:

A) The game is a shut-out. (One team has no caps)

B) The game lasts less than 3:00

PowerLevel is now in Kilo.
They know when it is time so they don't get the "abnormal Gameplay"
BTW, They wait until 18.50 Min and less and go.
they tell them when it is time.

Thanks for the input....obviously power-levelers are going to "test around" with the parameters to find the best fit.

At what point does successful powerleveling get outweighed by the effort it takes to do it? Sad

remove the melee only and pistol only option for CTF on all servers except bulldog. I know it's been suggested before, but all the abnormal gameplay issues would just lead to problems with people playing the game the way it's meant to be played.

I think it falls under Emod abuse though. Nexon really won't care as long as they're making money though. =/ It's a shame.

But some people like playing melee/pistol only CTFs with no intention of powerleveling.

I've been to Delta CTFs. Usually the Elite's side will win the game because the opponent team doesn't dare to capture for fear of being kicked.

There are a few people who go afk in the tunnels but most of us do go around and actually play the game.

A 7 round Grave Digger CTF with melee only can last less less than 2 mins. But pistols only? Rare. Unless one team is much much better than the other.

I think the best way to prevent powerleveling in CTF is to introduce a minimum amount of kills needed before the last flag can be capped.

Most powerlevelers care about their kdr, so I don't think they would be sacrificing themselves for the other team. Also, the respawn time is 3 seconds. So if it's a 3v3 Grave Digger CTF and the minimum kills needed for game to end properly is 20, the game will take longer than 18:59.

Did the new update actually fix delta powerleveling?

Or was the CTF rewards rebalancing they mentioned for something different?

This is good. You need to set up a specific system that SCALES DOWN the kills.

i.e. in a 8v8 CTF melee only, you can't expect the kill total to be the same as 1v1 CTF melee, that'd be ridiculous.

No matter how you change it people will still power level. Even if you put a kill limit I know people that would still do it.

Just a random thought but how about we get more mods in game to start banning power levelers? Honestly that is the best way to fix it, just have someone check in on the rooms. Might not happen but its better than trying to put limits. If your not careful you will get the same problem we had with SnS, where you got abnormal game play all the time. Most of the time there wasn't an elite and the teams weren't even stacked, they just capped the point and deafened it well.

This probably means Mon-Sat from 9am to 6pm.

Erm... lower the EXP/GP to 10 per minute, and you don't get EXP until 5 minutes? This would make it a *fun* mode, and not a "srsbznz" mode.
