Jarfer- Server Lag Solution

Basically, we need better servers that can maintain a stronger connection to everyone.

There's something called Nagle's Algorithm.
This algorithm collects a certain amount of packets before sending them to the servers.
If you disable the Nagle's Algorithm, every single packet will get transmitted straight away. There is no waiting time, for the packets to group before sending them to the servers.

Disabling the Nagle's Algorithm might help a little with your register issue, but I think the best way to reduce latency is to have better servers. The repack is probably going to slightly increase your fps but it won't do much to decrease teleporting, no register.

I didn't actually say this, but one could imply from the information I gave that servers classified by ping instead of KDR would be a godsend. :O

Of course, there would be some complications to consider, such as those poor lagspikers that go from 30 ping to 300+ and back for no reason whatsoever. So this would pretty much only work for people with steady connections...it unfortunately rules out lagspikers but on the bright side would encourage a community with steadier pings.

I used to play the game GunZ, and at first they had the NA and Europe servers right next to each other on the menu, so you could jump into the Europe server and meet people from the UK and elsewhere. But they eventually separated GunZ into NA and EU versions, so now there are East and West servers to cover both sides of North America, and I don't know what they did for Europe. Something similar for CA servers would be incredible, so I will throw that out there as well.

Vindictus is another perfect example of this, it has East and West servers too!

I know right n_n

Now that NX cards are becoming available in Australia and New Zealand, making the game more playable for Aussies/New Zealanders would bring them more income in the long run.

The only problem with a east and west server is you won't be able to play with people you know on the west server if you are on east. And if you play on west it could cause lag, or if they play on east they could lag.

Either way it seems someone is possibly going to lag.

Australia doesn't have enough players who play Combat Arms regularly enough. If they made an Australian server or version of Combat Arms then only like 100-500 people would play >.<
