Why we shouldn't close the Balance Subforum.
The agreed-upon quote that sums up our feelings on this topic:
It's quite obvious that many people on the forums think all we want to do is "balance" every single gun in the game, when we all know we have other significant priorities. Latency issues are priority for the time being, but don't ignore other problems.

Close everything else in the discussion section except for Course of Action, Latency, Hacking and Community.

keep it there, just remind yourselves that there are other issues that need attention.

I didn't post this to remind us that we have other priorities, this is entirely about our credibility.

*sigh*
How judgmental the community can be JUST because we have more topics in balance... Doesn't mean we care more about it. Just means it's easier to contribute more to it.
And yes, we should probably lock it for our sake.

Re: Why we shouldn't close the Balance Subforum.
You don't need to lock the Balancing forum just because 1/4 people think we're devoted to weapon balancing. It is still good for other members of the FFCA to give suggestions in balancing for ANY type of matter in the FFCA.
Closing down that section is basically just going to make people think that the only way they can suggest a rebalance to something is on the Nexon Forums.

No, closing it down [temporarily] will show our commitment to things other than Game Balance.

Gotron, that 1/4 influenced the entire community to think we were dedicated only to balance.
In order to stop their propaganda, we have to adapt.

Simple, leave it open. Just work on things that the COMMUNITY asked for, and prioritize on that.

Re: Why we shouldn't close the Balance Subforum.
Have someone type up the final draft of the Game Devt. Blog, post it here, look for spelling mistakes, sentences that might come off sounding the wrong way etc.
All this discussion but nothing happens.
Maybe what we should do is appoint a spokesperson, he types out everything nicely, presents it here on FFCA and then get it approved here and then release it in the Nexon forums.

You do realize that most of the entire community are going to stay on that level of thinking we're dedicated to balance. Don't think just because you get demoted of representative and we lock a sub-forum that everyone is going to suddenly wanna join the FFCA....

It's one of the MANY steps necessary to let the community know FFCA is more than just that.

Re: Why we shouldn't close the Balance Subforum.
It's not necessary.
We just need to give them something concrete to show that FFCA is making progress.

Re: Why we shouldn't close the Balance Subforum.
Despite that, we're still under heavy fire here.
Part of being an organization means doing things we don't want to just to appeal to the masses to gain support.
However, SOME organizations, like PETA, DON'T appeal to the public while trying to carry out a righteous message.
Similarly, SOME organizations DO appeal to the public SO MUCH so that they resort to things like even violence or terrorism just to get more members so they become even stronger.
WE should try to find a balance between those two. Let's not get carried away with appealing to the Nexon community, but we should also keep in mind to do what's right, and let's not do something extremist, like hacking Nexon's servers and setting it so that the hackshield is disabled, just to emphasize on changes we want.

Re: Why we shouldn't close the Balance Subforum.
But Peta's voilent revolutionary attitudes is what gives people negative feelings about PETA.
Here, nothing is "revolutionary". Nothing balance-related is being forced, or even pushed upon by the CA community; it's only being discussed.
Let the haters hate. We'll show 'em when we successfully get a development blog, or get good feedback about looking into better servers. Then the random accusations of socialist-structured balance rumors about the FFCA will be few and far between.

True.
We need this quote stickied so FFCA members now and in the future won't respond to the haters to provoke flame wars like I did :X
